A front-page story Tuesday about a vote on alcohol rules in Mountain Village incorrectly said Mary “Selma” Queenie’s husband would likely vote in the election. Queenie’s husband is dead and she was talking about how he might have voted on the issue. Link  Report an error

The wrestler Andre “the giant” Roussimoff has not retired from films, as we said. He died in 1993 (Ah, Mr Valuev, we’ve been expecting you. . ., 10 November, page 11, G2). Link  Report an error

Paper brings Django Reinhardt back from the dead

McClatchy Watch spotted a rather remarkable concert recommendation in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "Have you heard of Django Reinhardt?" it asks. Then it reports that "he returns to Mount Crested Butte again Labor Day weekend (Sept. 5-6) for DjangoFest Colorado." Well, that would definitely be worth seeing. The July 7 article "GOP Has Big Manua to Climb in Hawaii" mentioned Honolulu City Councilman Duke Bainum as a possible Democratic candidate for Hawaii’s 1st district seat. Bainum died in June.  Report an error
