The context of a quote from Isaac Larian, president/CEO of MGA Entertainment Inc., was incorrect in Dan Bernstein’s column Thursday. The column suggested Larian was referring to the Mattel vs. MGA lawsuit over who owns the Bratz doll when he was quoted saying, “It’s kind of stupid.” In an e-mail, Larian wrote that he meant it was stupid “for Mattel lawyers to fight over hotel rooms.” Link

CLARIFICATION: Kelly Krug, director of marketing services for the California Department of Food and Agriculture, was quoted in a story March 3 about how a slaughterhouse closure is affecting Inland dairy farmers. Krug said he intended to say that dairy farmers are financially motivated to milk a cow until the cow’s production drops and not until the animal drops.
