Hand, not penis

A news brief on Monday’s page 1, titled “Rugger overexposed in newspaper,” appears to have been wrong. What looked like a penis hanging out of a rugby player’s shorts in a Press-Republican sports photo now seems to be the shadow of the player’s hand on his thigh. Press-Republican Editor Bob Grady said he and his [...]

Fun with photos

A graphic on Page 4 of Tuesday’s main section listing Judge James Zagel’s notable trials included a photo of Frank Calabrese Sr. instead of Nicholas Calabrese. Also, the date of the Family Secrets trial in the graphic was incorrect. The trial was in 2007. Link Sure, seems like a normal kind of mix-up, expect that [...]

We wrote about the awarding of the Templeton prize to Francisco J Ayala, geneticist, molecular biologist and former Dominican priest. A brief in World Report yesterday incorrectly depicted U.S. envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell with a photograph of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel. The Post regrets the error.
