In our April 9 edition, the Sun-Times published a letter mildly critical of Mayor Daley that was signed “Sabina Lilly, Bridgeport.” In fact, Sabina Lilly did not write the letter — her signature had been forged. Our policy is to check the veracity of letters before publication, but we failed this time. We apologize.

In Sunday’s Books section, in an article about the book John & Yoko: A New York Love Story, it was incorrectly stated that the photographs “are in the public domain for the first time.” All the photographs in the book are in fact copyrighted and not in the public domain. Also, to clarify, a series of photographs of Lennon and Ono walking through Central Park has in part previously been published. Link
