Welcome to the new website. Note that the images in the older posts are currently not loading automatically. You just need to click on the link with the image name and it will load. I’m working to fix this. Also be sure to check out the brand new book section of this site. You can read an excerpt, sign up to receive corrections to the book, or read some of the background material I used while writing it. Check it out.

One thing you won’t notice on this site is ads. I still don’t accept them. So permit me this pitch: I spend many hours per week working on this site, and it also costs me money to host it. If you enjoy the site and want to show your thanks, I ask that you purchase a copy of my book. It’s the best way to support the site, plus you get a book-length look at media errors, corrections and accuracy at a good price. It also includes over 300 of the funniest and most shocking corrections from this site. So I hope you’ll buy the book. More importantly, I hope you enjoy it.

Finally, I’d like to thank Patrick Tanguay for his work on the redesign and relaunch. He did a great job.

Equals a marriage made in heaven as far as we’re concerned.
On Sunday’s edition of Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, the wonderful news quiz show that airs on NPR, Stephen Colbert was brought on to do the Not My Job segment. To our joy, the program decided to quiz him about media errors, and it used the oh-so-soon-to-be-released Regret the Error book as its source. Colbert managed to get two out of three questions correct, while also providing some of his usual brand of entertainment in the interview prior to the quiz. To listen, go here and then click on the “Not My Job: Stephen Colbert” link on the page.
Trust us , you’ll enjoy it. Perhaps it will even inspire you to purchase the book. We’re just sayin’…
