Regret the Error

Trisha Smith, the owner of the Posh & Naughty boutique at 2576 East Main Rd., said yesterday that she is not on welfare, as was reported in yesterday’s Providence Journal, but would be a mother on welfare if her landlord puts her out of business by evicting her. Smith has two children.
Smith’s landlord, Samuels Realty, owned by David Bazarsky, has filed an eviction complaint against Smith, saying she violated her lease by falling behind on the rent for more than 15 days last month. Smith is contesting the allegation. The case is to be heard in District Court, Newport, Jan. 28. Link
