Yesterday’s Extra featured a piece by Professor Wiseman on recent media coverage of The World Cancer Research Fund’s report on cancer prevention, which we puffed on the front page as ‘Bacon sarnies are good for you - official’. We have been asked to make clear that neither Professor Wiseman nor WCRF have ever suggested that bacon sandwiches are good for you. Link

A listing of major English language North American broadcast networks and newspapers that do not have an online corrections page.
- ABC News
- CBS News
- CNN
- CTV (Canada)
- CanWest Newspapers (Canada)
  Nine of the 11 major Canadian daily newspapers owned by CanWest do not have online corrections pages. Only the National Post and Montreal Gazette have them.
- Detroit Free Press
  This paper used to have an online corrections page, but it was recently redesigned off the site.
- Fox News
- Global TV (Canada)
- MSNBC News
  NOTE: MSNBC.com does run corrections for its online reporting. NBC Nightly News also publishes its corrections on MSNBC.com.
- New Jersey Star-Ledger
- New York Daily News
- New York Post
- San Diego Union-Tribune
