Presidential candidate Barack Obama’s first name was misspelled as
Barak in a story on Page D1 on April 5. The same error appeared in
stories on Nov. 4, 2004; Feb. 17, 2005; Dec. 14, 2006; and Jan. 25,
2007; and in a photo caption on Jan. 5, 2005. Link
At least they didn’t call him Osama. Or a Republican.
Nine of the 11 major Canadian daily newspapers owned by CanWest do not have online corrections pages. Only the National Post and Montreal Gazette have them.
This paper used to have an online corrections page, but it was recently redesigned off the site.
NOTE: MSNBC.com does run corrections for its online reporting. NBC Nightly News also publishes its corrections on MSNBC.com.
