Regret the Error

ON 10 February 2008 we published an article “Tory MP in Exes Storm” which alleged that Mark Pritchard MP faced calls for an investigation over claims that his wife was on the parliamentary payroll whilst working as an air stewardess. We now accept this allegation was false.
Mrs Pritchard does not work as an air stewardess and is openly and legitimately employed as Mr Pritchard’s office manager in Westminster.
In the circumstances any investigation would be unfounded and none has been called for or is being undertaken by the Parliamentary authorities.
We apologise to Mark Pritchard and his wife for any embarrassment caused by the article.
