We described Lee Daniels’s new film, “Precious”, (“Escaping from hell”, November 21st) as a shoe-in for the Academy Awards. As any horse-racing fan will know, it should have been—and will be—a “shoo-in”. Also, William Trevor’s “Love and Summer” (December 5th) is a novel and not a collection. Link
