Paper apologizes for accusing author of plagiarism
A review of the memoir “Growing Up With Clemente” in the Post-Gazette April 12 should not have said that some material in the book seemed to have been “cribbed” from a biography of Roberto Clemente written by another author.The reviewer did not substantiate his impression before expressing it in the review, and a subsequent inquiry by the PG found no support for the assertion. The Post-Gazette regrets and apologizes for this and for the wrongful impression it may have conveyed about the authenticity of the memoir and the integrity of its author. Link
