Apology

ski_racingAn unfortunate mistranslation led to the incorrect report on our website that the Swiss had fired head women’s coach Hugues Ansermoz.  It was not correct. Ansermoz’s job was in fact very secure as pointed out by the Swiss Ski president Urs Lehmann,  who said, “Hugues Ansermoz is one of our best coaches: and will remain our women’s alpine head coach in the future.”
Ski Racing’s managing partner, Gary Black, Jr., apologized for the erroneous report, saying, “there is no excuse for the failure to check the facts prior to putting up any story and in this case, haste took precedent over rudimentary journalism.”
