Craig, I updated my Poynter story a little while ago. Wales Online now has an explanation of their retraction on their site. But the URL of the original post doesn’t forward to it, so inbound links to the original post are still just broken.

Craig, thanks for spreading the word about my piece. I agree: “disappearing” false stories and not being transparent about refutations isn’t just a missed opportunity — it’s probably also unethical.
