You may want to issue a correction here…

The American Family Association’s OneNewsNow site has a standard practice of using the word “homophobic” instead of “gay” when it comes to, well, gay people.

I think in the opening paragraph you mean to state “homosexual instead of gay” rather than “homophobic.” Most of the gay people I know aren’t homophobic, but the majority of them are all homosexual. There are enough homophobic people in this country already, the last thing are homophobic gays.
