Poetic injustice

A brief art review on Friday about an exhibition of paintings and pastels by Joan Mitchell, at the Lennon, Weinberg gallery in Chelsea, misstated two words in a poem by James Schuyler that inspired a drawing on display. In the poem, “Sunset,” it is “The sun,” not “The man” that “just went behind the ridge,” and “turned it mauve, marked green by firs,” not “by fire.” Link
