Poetic injustice
A brief art review on Friday about an exhibition of paintings and pastels by Joan Mitchell, at the Lennon, Weinberg gallery in Chelsea, misstated two words in a poem by James Schuyler that inspired a drawing on display. In the poem, “Sunset,†it is “The sun,†not “The man†that “just went behind the ridge,†and “turned it mauve, marked green by firs,†not “by fire.†Link
