		<description>When I was the op-ed columns editor at the Orange County Register, the Council on American-Islamic Relations asked my boss to fire me after I refused to let the council run unedited rebuttals in our opinion section. I said the rebuttals had to be specific about what it was in columns that CAIR didn&#039;t like and had to be fact-checked and copy-edited. CAIR made a stink about it. Makes me wonder if the corrected story above was actually in need of correction.</description>
