Recipe for disaster

A recipe Sunday in the Entrée section for Muskego Lakes Country Club Greenbriar Stuffed Chicken misstated the amount of diced onion to be used. The recipe calls for 1/8 cup of finely diced yellow onion, not 8 cups.

Thanks, Dan!

That’s almost as bad, though: very few home cooks own a 1/8 cup dry measure, and most liquid measuring cups don’t have measuring marks below 1/4 cup.

They should have said two tablespoons.

Reminds me of a Globe and Mail correction from about 25 years ago:

“Yesterday’s recipe for triffle should have said add 4-8 ounces of sherry, not 48.”

That one was so good CP wrote a story about it.
