ON August 29 The Manly Daily published an article ”Safety in spotlight” concerning a Sydney Ferries investigation into ferry masters seen smoking while at the helm, which was accompanied by a photograph of Mr Greg Forrest. Readers may have inferred from the article that Mr Forrest was smoking on the job. Mr Forrest has explained he was holding a white pen. The Manly Daily apologises to Mr Forrest for any hurt or embarrassment caused by the article.
