Not so, Einstein
Dennis Einstein of New Castle-based Einstein Insurance says his
daughter, Kristen Einstein, who was quoted in a story in Tuesday’s Life
section, is not connected to his insurance company. He also said that
while he is a descendant of Albert Einstein, the connection is more
distant than what his daughter stated. Kristen Einstein said she had
repeated what another family member had told her about the connection. Link
As a reader pointed out to us, this "clarification" fails to note that the Einstein element was very prominent in the story. The sub-headline on the piece was "Kristen Einstein (yes, that Einstein) talks about her aviation business and her equation for Dewey Beach." Then it began:
By the time Kristen Einstein finds some time to chat about growing up as the great-grandniece of Albert Einstein (yes, the Albert Einstein), the Wilmington native has put everything on hold for a few minutes.
There’s more where that came from. And the online version of the piece hasn’t been corrected.
