Bad for business
A picture caption on May 6 with an article about gang violence in
Queens referred incorrectly to the significance of the word “Mecca†on
a T-shirt that bore the logo of the Mecca USA clothing company. Though
the word Mecca has been adopted by some gang members as an acronym
standing for “Murder every Crip child alive,†the company and its logo
have no link to gang activity. Link
