“Some people” indeed

jay was incorrectly identified as a blue jay on the cover of Saturday’s
Life section. Also, the accompanying story stated that, in Fresno, blue
jays dive and attack pets and people to protect their nests. Blue jays
are not commonly found in California. Western scrub jays, which some
people mistake for blue jays, are common.
