Regret the Error

A
story published yesterday incorrectly named the Toronto police officers
successfully sued by a man who accused them of false arrest, assault,
wrongful imprisonment and malicious prosecution. A jury found officers
Dale Connell, Timothy Penman, Travis Clark and Ernie Cossitt liable,
but said they did not act maliciously. This week the officers’ appeal
of the $600,000 judgment against them was dismissed. A story about the
appeal incorrectly named officers Bernard Flohr, Douglas Booth, Thomas
Corbett, Fiona Greenaway and Jody Watson. The five were named in the
suit but the action against them was dismissed. The award to Robert
Schisler is believed to be the largest ever against a Canadian police
