story in Friday’s edition stated that AMF, the French stock
marketregulator, wanted the ability to veto appointment of Americans to
the board of a combined Euronext/New York Stock Exchange. We wish to
make it clear that the regulator is seeking the right to veto any board
member who does not meet a "fit and proper" test and is not singling out
any particular nationality.
