So much to discriminate against

Iht_8An article
Wednesday about the author Kati Marton incorrectly described the
difficulties encountered by her parents in Hungary. While they were
barred from many jobs because of anti-Jewish laws in the 1930s and
1940s, the trouble they experienced under the Commun
ist regime was a
result of their political views and social class, not their religion;
the Communists abolished anti-Jewish laws.
The
same article misidentified the treaty that reduced Hungary’s size after
World War I. It was the Treaty of Trianon, signed at Versailles,
France, in 1920, not the Treaty of Versailles, signed at Versailles in
1919.
