Persistent pseudonym

Timespicay_6A story in some Saturday editions about the Orleans Parish Indigent
Defender Program listed an incorrect name in describing a 2004 case in
which a teenager gave birth while incarcerated because she had appeared
in court without an attorney. The name in the story, Mary Jackson, was
a pseudonym. A rep
ort about the program’s problems used the pseudonym
to protect the teen’s privacy. Link
