Publicists for actor Sean Connery have refuted a recent story that the Finding Forrester
star would soon be announcing his retirement from acting. According a
WENN story from April 9, Connery had planned to make the announcement
when he collects his Lifetime Achievement Award at the American Film
Institute later this year. According to Connery’s publicist, Nancy Seltzer,
"He has never said and wouldn’t say he was officially retiring from
film at his upcoming AFI tribute. He’s honored and flattered by the
