Need rewrite
An
article about theater operations by Gary Waldman and Jamison Troutman
on Page 1A of the April 20 edition contained several errors. It
incorrectly reported the title of a show produced by Waldman at the
Hollywood Playhouse that resulted in a claim by the Playhouse for
reimbursement of advertising expenses. The show was Perfect Harmony: The Barry Sisters Story.
The article also incorrectly reported the duration of a jazz club on
Oakland Park Boulevard. The club operated for several months.
Concerning the same article, the following is clarified: The Drama
Center in Deerfield Beach remained open five months after the September
1999 opening of the Wilton Playhouse in Wilton Manors; and when the
Atlantis Playhouse closed earlier this year, Waldman and Troutman said
they notified as many ticket holders as possible in advance of canceled
shows. Additionally, a quote by Waldman stating in part "people think
you’re rich," was not intended to refer to cast members.
