Regret the Error

Because of incorrect information from the New York Times, a story on
Page One on April 2 about the scene at the Vatican as Pope John Paul II
hovered near death rendered a word incorrectly in a passage from a
special Mass celebrated in Italian for the pope by Cardinal Camilio
Ruini, the vicar of Rome. He said the pope was "already united with our
sole Savior" – not "soul Savior."
