Blog shines plagiarism accusation on Sun

Calgary_sunCanadian blogger Tart Cider is tracking what he believes to be examples of plagiarism by a columnist at the Calgary Sun. (We’ll note that he’s clearly not a fan of her work.) Here is one of his two examples of her work, and you can read the other along with his full post here:

From an April 17 column by the Sun’s Licia Corbella:

For instance, average annual temperatures in New York City rose 5-degrees Fahrenheit between 1822 and 2000. But average temperatures in West Point, an hour’s drive away, didn’t rise at all, while the average temperatures in Albany, three hours away, fell.

From an article by Jack Kelly published in December 25, 2004′s Toledo Blade:

For instance, average annual temperatures in New York City rose 5 degrees Fahrenheit between 1822 and 2000. But average temperatures in West Point, an hour away by car, didn’t rise at all, and average temperatures in Albany, three hours away, fell.

Cider also goes after the Sun’s managing editor for the same reason in this post.
